PARTOUT is a project of d PANCH – Performance Art Network CH and the closing project of PANCH EUROVISION. PANCH is a network of young artists based in Basel that has the goal of reinforcing and promoting performance art in Switzerland and in the Principality of Liechtenstein on the public, artistic and conceptual levels.
With the support of Pro Helvetia (2018–2020), the d PANCH EUROVISION project planned and carried out seven trips in Europe to talk with performance artists about their networks.
PARTOUT will bring some of the performance actors from the PANCH EUROVISION project together with selected Swiss artists in Lausanne and Basel. This will be complemented with the projects LIVE ART WORKSHOP and ACTS OF TRANSMISSION: through a cooperation framework with European Artists further international artists are invited to participate in the Partout Project.
ACTS OF TRANSMISSION was developed within LIVE ART WORKSHOP. The international artists work remotely with individually chosen European artists and develop together a performance/workshop that is presented on site at PARTOUT. However, due to the current travel restrictions, mostly European artists will be able to be present.
Over 30 performance artists from national, European and international contexts will meet in Switzerland for 12 days of performances, experiments in sharing and discussions. In this way, PANCH seeks to consolidate the performance art network, make worldwide contacts better known in Switzerland and present the diversity of performance art to a wider public.
PARTOUT is a project of PANCH hosted by the Kaserne Basel and Arsenic Lausanne, and is supported by: Swisslos-Fonds Basel-Stadt, Loterie Romande, Swisslos-Fonds Basel-Landschaft, Pro Helvetia, Kultur Stadt Bern, SWISSLOS/ Kultur Kanton Bern, Österreichisches Kulturforum Bern, Fondation Nestlé pour l’Art, Ernst und Olga Gubler-Hablützel Stiftung, Jacqueline Spengler Stiftung, Erna & Curt Burgauer Stiftung and Willy A. und Hedwig Bachofen-Henn-Stiftung.
PARTOUT is complemented by the project LIVE ART WORKSHOP, which is coproduced by Kaserne Basel and Arsenic Lausanne. Supporters of the project are Pro Helvetia Johannesburg, Pro-Helvetia Neu-Delhi, Pro Helvetia Cairo, Pro Helvetia Shanghai as well as COINCIDENCIA.
